To cry or not to cry...that is the question.
For weeks my dad has said to me that "Babies cry... that's what they do." Today his story has changed. He thinks that Gordie is growing progressively more demanding. He cries harder and makes it sound more pathetic and serious. Little Gordo knows what he wants and is very persistent. I am sure that is a sign of high intelligence.
BTW. I think Gordie maybe a food critic someday in his off hours of being a brain surgeon. He has a palette for odd foods like carrots and squash and not so much rice cereal.

Gordie's new balancing act
This just started last night...Gordie stands on his knees and hands close together and rocks back and forth as if he is testing his balance. He will be crawling in the next week and a half.

Should we call him Gordo?
A man at Starbucks commented that Gordie was a big guy. He commented that his 7 month old daughter wasn't nearly as large as him...I googled just yesterday and I read that babies usually double their birth weight by 4 months. Gordie is no where close to 20 lbs. I think he weighs around 18 lbs.
Gordie laughs out loud
I took Gordie for a walk early this morning and he instantly fell asleep. He laughed out loud in his sleep. What do babies dream about?
Carrots - the final vegetable
Well, today Gordie started his final vegetable, carrots. I wish I would have started this blog a little sooner to document the things Gordie has been up to, but it didn't occur to me for some odd reason. I guess I wanted to design a custom site for him, but just don't have the time.
Back to the carrots topic. He liked them, yeah! He is ahead of me in the game as I was a super picky eater as a kid. So far, Gordie has gladly eaten every vegetable (peas, sweet potatoes, green beans, squash and carrots) I have put in front of him. Though, I think his favorite is squash. It is pretty good stuff. Have you ever tried baby food? When I lose my teeth, I am switching back to baby food, yum! Well, that's all for now. I know this isn't so exciting, but each day for our family is a new experience. Like right now, as I write, Gordie has tooted about 20 times.
Yep, happiness is being Gordie's mom. All I have to do is look at Gordie when I am having a bad one and then everything instantly is good.

The Swaddlerman in army man pose
I came home from work this evening to my 5.5 month old (23 weeks) moving towards me in a army man crawl. He's so close to a real crawl, it's so adorable. It's funny how he gets so frustrated when trying to get the coordination.
